It was such a shock when my sister Michelle informed me today, of Bretts' passing. Me and Michelle both knew Brett in the 1980's (I was a few years older than all of her friends, but we all got on famously) it was the days of the Helsinki Bar in Leicester where Brett, my sis and friends Kevin, Jason, Kirk and Wayne all frequented...Great alternative music and fashions. I got to know Brett through my sister and always found him charming, fun and very funny add kind and gentle to that. He never seemed to have a frown and was witty as hell lol.i have a memory of him saying to me back then, as I got out of a taxi to go out for the evening...saying "Oh Sue, you've got sexy legs" (not any more I might add) but that really made my night. He was a lovely person and we loved him as a great, funny friend. I'm so very sorry to hear of his death from cancer...it came as a total shock and I send all my condolences to his family and friends xxx from Susan Hay
